Formula 1 came to Madrid, and so did I!!
Madrid has officially added a new date to the international F1 calendar, and I was invited to experience the “first-ever” Spanish Grand Prix at the new MADRING circuit. Formula 1 is back in Madrid after more than four decades, and they absolutely delivered.
Because MADRING is about much more than what happens on the track. It is a full-scale celebration of drivers, top-tier brands, celebrities and a social calendar that has quickly become the place to be.
For this trip, I stayed at NOMADE in Salamanca, a brand-new hotel that I loved from the moment I arrived. It belongs to the same group behind the iconic Nômade Temple Tulum.
The location is a solid 10/10, with a strong wellness focus and spaces designed to seamlessly combine work, rest and social life without ever having to leave the hotel.
There is a huge spa, yoga classes, a gym and a beautiful coworking space. I love when a hotel understands that traveling today also means being able to work, train, switch off and head back into the city feeling energized.
Saturday was qualifying day, but the schedule continued long after the track action ended.
This new members-only club is already a must for the city, and yes, it is located inside one of Madrid’s most iconic buildings. We had dinner there, and I absolutely loved it.
Congratulations to Grupo Paraguas on this new opening in such an emblematic setting.
There is something particularly interesting about these new spaces: they are not simply restaurants or private clubs. They bring together gastronomy, design, art, experiences, business and social life. And during MADRING, they naturally become the city’s meeting points.
Tasca Fina is the club’s Spanish restaurant.
My recommendation? Try the pizza and let the chef guide you, especially when it comes to the seafood dishes, which were incredible.
I love discovering restaurants with a strong identity, places that do not need to be obvious to become one of the most memorable experiences of a trip.
After dinner, I headed downstairs to Spa de Langostas, also located within the club.
The TAG Heuer event, one of F1’s main sponsors, was one of those nights where you could truly feel the MADRING energy: industry insiders, celebrities and a city embracing its new international moment.
Sunday was race day. Plenty of celebrities, plenty of royalty, plenty going on. Madrid was completely taken over by the MADRING energy.
You do not get to experience the first edition of a Grand Prix every day. And this project is about much more than sport: it is entertainment, hospitality and an international-scale social experience.
There was also that very Argentine feeling of making it a little bit our own, together with the sense that we were witnessing the beginning of something that will become part of Madrid’s calendar for many years to come.
Another date officially added to my calendar!
Kimi Antonelli won the inaugural race, followed by Max Verstappen and Lando Norris. And a great performance from Franco Colapinto.
That night, we had dinner at Los 33, a Madrid classic that brought together some of the city’s biggest names. It has that perfect combination of great food, a strong sense of place and unmistakably Madrid energy, one of those restaurants where dinner becomes part of the city’s social experience. And I am officially a FAN of the flan at Los 33.
The 2026 Grand Prix took place from September 11 to 13. In 2027, it will run from September 10 to 12.
The circuit is located around IFEMA Madrid and Valdebebas, close to Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport.
Public transportation is your best option. The city gets seriously chaotic during the Grand Prix weekend.
