I first met the team behind OVO Patagonia at Argentina’s Young Entrepreneur Awards, where I had the chance to serve as a jury member. Their project immediately caught my attention: a collection of transparent capsules suspended high above the Patagonian wilderness, with uninterrupted views of Mount Fitz Roy.
Located near El Chaltén, OVO Patagonia is unlike anything else I’ve experienced. Part luxury glamping, part adventure expedition, it combines comfort, design, and adrenaline in one of the most spectacular landscapes in South America.
Getting there is part of the experience. After crossing a suspension bridge and hiking through the property, guests receive a technical briefing before beginning a one-hour vertical ascent using harnesses and a via ferrata climbing route.
And that’s when the adventure truly begins.
The capsules are suspended hundreds of meters above the valley and designed across multiple levels, including a panoramic sleeping area, private bathroom, and outdoor relaxation space with breathtaking views of Patagonia in every direction.
This is definitely not for anyone afraid of heights. More than an adventure activity, it feels like an invitation to step far outside your comfort zone and surrender to the scale and power of nature.
One of my favorite moments was sunset: sharing local snacks and a cold beer while watching the mountains turn gold. Later, as darkness settled over the valley, the experience became something completely different. Surrounded by silence, stars, and endless wilderness, it felt like Patagonia at its most raw and beautiful.
What impressed me most is that this ambitious project was created by Argentine entrepreneurs determined to build something truly unique on a global scale. OVO Patagonia is not just a hotel experience, it’s a reminder of how innovative adventure tourism in Argentina can be.
